Brand New Co-op Gallery Opening in scenic Old Town Novato - November 2011

  • Lovely upscale gallery space with a vibrant, yet serene atmosphere.
  • Get in on the ground floor of an exciting new fine arts gallery in Marin.
  • Have your artwork on display in time to take advantage of the busy holiday season, and be part of our Grand Opening Event on December 1st.
ARTrageous Gallery is seeking a few great artists who are looking for a committed relationship. Our minimum consignment duration is 3 months. Ideally you would have various works on consignment with us for at least a 3 month period, and live within a reasonable commute radius of Novato CA.

Location: 857 Grant Ave. in scenic Old Town Novato California, ARTrageous Gallery will open its doors on November 15th, creating a new co-op gallery and event space. Grand Opening Event is scheduled for December 1st. Business hours are 6 days a week Tuesday – Sunday. The gallery is open late every Thursday evening, for special events with artists, patrons, and other public offerings. ARTrageous Gallery is also available for rent as an event space — bringing in an appreciative, arts-loving public. 

Artists selected for the gallery will have their bios and images posted on the website, launch date on November 1st, and will be featured in our monthly email newsletter. 

Wall Space/Rates - per month
5' x 8' or 5' x 12' - $50
6' x 12' - $75
8' x 12' - $100
16' x 12' - $200
Commission Split: 70% artist, 30% gallery
Submission Fee: $20

Decisions: 10/24
Drop Off, Delivery of Artwork: 11/1 - 11/3
Opening Date: 11/15

  • Please submit 5 - 10 JPEG images of work that is currently available for exhibit and ready for sale.
  • 150 pixels/inch resolution.  Not larger than 600 pixels in either direction.
  • Make it easy for us all - Title jpeg files by your Last Name followed by a Letter corresponding to the Artwork Information you send. (JonesA.jpg, JonesB.jpg, JonesC.jpg)
Artwork Information: 
  • For each image in your submission please clearly identify each piece.
  • Use a Letter corresponding to the JPEG image (see example above).
  • Include for each piece: Title, Medium, Dimensions, and Sale Price.
Please Note: If your work is selected for the gallery all artwork must be received ready to install. Wall hung work must be securely wired (no claw hooks), or it will not be hung. Sadly we do not have room in the gallery for 3-D pieces larger than about 15" x 15" x 15".

Our timeline is tight for the grand opening event December 1st, so if your work is accepted for this first round you will be notified by phone or email by 10/24 (give or take 24 hours). We will then follow up right away with a basic consignment agreement and arrangements for delivery.
If your work is not selected for this round we will keep your submission on file for future openings at ARTrageous Gallery, and contact you if space becomes available.
