On April 10th from 2:00—6:00p.m., SOMArts will have its first annual “all access” open house and is currently requesting submissions for a pop-up shop of artwork and objects priced at $25 and under.  

 

We are looking for unique one-of-a-kind art objects and/or multiple prints in this accessible and affordable price range. While this project is designed to benefit SOMArts, we will be offering a 30/70 (SOMArts/Artist) profit split to encourage participation.

 

A pop-up shop is a venue that is temporary–it appears one day, and is gone the next. These stores, while small and temporary, can build up a buzz by audience anticipation and the opportunity to own artist created work at a low price.

 

Selling at the SOMArts pop-up shop is open to artists and organization that have exhibited in, or been associated with, SOMArts in the last few years.  To participate, please e-mail the following to rene@somarts.org and justin@somarts.org (subject line: “Pop-Up Shop Submission”) by Monday, March 28th for approval and marketing purposes:

- 2-4 high-resolution images of your item.

- A brief description of what you are offering.

 

Please note:

Items will need to be dropped off at SOMArts on Thursday 4/7 and Friday 4/8 from 2:00—6:00p.m.

Those not sold will be available for pickup Monday, April 11-SaturdayApril 16 from 11-5 in the administrative office upstairs. Artists who do not pick up their work by 4/16/11 will be charged a $5/day storage fee.
