PRESENTATION GUIDELINES

FRAMING AND MATTING
Artists are responsible for the cost of framing their work. Black, white, brown or neutral wood frames accepted. Silver, white, or black metal frames accepted (no gold frames). No "clip frames" or colored frames. All works on paper and framed photographs must have white mats. Alternative presentations must be approved PRIOR TO THE DELIVERY DATE.

HARDWARE AND WIRING
Wall hung work must have D-ring/strap hanger hardware or eyehooks appropriately rated to hold the weight of your artwork. NO SAW TOOTH HANGERS, clip hardware or non-traditional hardware will be accepted. Wire must be braided picture wire sufficiently rated to hold the weight of your artwork. No single strand wire of any type, filament (“fishing line”) or ribbon/cloth may be used as a substitute for braided wire. French cleats/cleat systems generally will not be accepted – usage allowed based on the venue and must be approved PRIOR TO THE DELIVERY DATE.

PHOTOGRAPHY / WORKS ON PAPER
All photography and works on paper must be signed with the artist’s name and title of the piece, year produced and edition number on the mat, print or protective backing (ideally on all three). If signed on the print or paper, signature may be on the back/non-image side at the artist’s discretion. Removable labels may be used if signed on the backing. Prints on canvas must adhere to the ‘canvas / work on board’ guidelines below. Alternative presentations must be approved PRIOR TO THE DELIVERY DATE.

CANVAS / WORK ON BOARD
All canvas / work on board must be signed with the artist’s name, year produced and title of the piece on the back of the canvas. Artist’s signature on the front or elsewhere is at the artist’s discretion. Removable labels may be used if signed on the back. Stretched canvas edges must be 'gallery wrapped' if presented unframed. Canvas with staples on the side edges must be framed, no exceptions. Canvas edges do not have to be painted, however McKinley Art Solutions reserves the right to ask for painted sides depending upon installation requirements. Masonite / work on board or panel 1 / 4 inch thick or less must be framed or ‘cradled’. Presentation of work on board or panel 3 / 8 inch thick or more must be approved PRIOR TO THE DELIVERY DATE.

SCULPTURE
Artwork must be labeled with the artist’s name or recognizable mark. The signature may be located on the inner surface of the work at the artist’s discretion.
