The series began in 1999, originated by ARTworkSF Gallery (Johnny Davis, director), and has run continuously since. Curated by Matt McKinley, then Curator at ARTworkSF, since 2002 the series continues under Matt's direction through McKinley Art Solutions since 2008.
Bayshore Studio is a commercial film and photography studio rental space used mainly for shooting advertising campaigns. In addition to traditional sales and rentals of the artwork on display, each installation promotes participating artists to Art Directors who specify and rent our art for backgrounds for movies and other film projects.
