'Rocky Coast II' Oil on Canvas 36 x 48 ------ In my work I seek to capture and offer a glimpse or vision of the Light and Energy of Spirit in constant motion through landscapes and the figure. Working both with brushes and palette knives, applying the oil paint thickly in multiple layers, I like to create luminous and richly textured and colored surfaces that invite a tactile response and serve both to represent a landscape or scene, it’s depth and breath, light and texture, as well as my inner world through the use of light, color and atmosphere in the painting.
